What is Search Engine?

Basically, a search engine is a software system or a website that is designed to carry out searches on the web.

Search Engine is used to search the World Wide Web in a systematic way for particular information specified in a web search query that is often called keywords or key phrases.

Google, Yahoo, Bing, Ask, Yandex, StartPage and Swisscows are some popular Search Engines.

What is Web Browser?

A browser or web browser is a software application that is used to search information or data on the internet.

A user may use a web browser to search data and information like text, videos, graphics, stories, news and much more.

The browser is necessary to connect a website to its servers and display its pages.

Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer, and Edge are the most popular browsers.

Search Engine and web browser are not same things.

As mentioned earlier, a search engine is a website having a the collection or database of web information including website and other form of data, whereas a web browser is a software that is needed to install on your computer or device properly and then it is used to access website, information or data through search engines.
